Steve Stringer is a web developer and consultant based in Dallas and runs a development house called Stringer Sites specializing in custom web sites and applications for small businesses and individuals. He also develops web-based tools useful to web developers and IT professionals (LockBox.cc, Color Coder, and Code Commenter).
He is a 10-year veteran of the software industry, starting his career as a Producer in the video game industry working for Activision, Electronic Arts, and Atari on such franchises as Quake and Need for Speed.
In 2004, Steve departed Atari and opened Stringer Sites, trading 80-100h work weeks for the freedom of working for himself and spending time with his wife and young child.
Since then, Steve hasn't looked back. Stringer Sites has enjoyed great success in a short period thanks to a good bit of luck, fantastic clients, and interesting projects.
Time allowing, he also runs a web development blog called StringFoo. Like most things in life, StringFoo takes a backseat to paying clients and the women in his life (not in that order).
